The polished finish gives the surface of the stone a high level of gloss, it can highlight the colour. In addition to minimizing its porosity, the surface takes on a mirror-like appearance. In interiors, the polished finish of stones is suitable for walls, floors and worktops. In exteriors, it can be used in facades. However, it is not recommended using the polished finish for exterior floorings due to the higher risk of slipping.
It provides a smooth but matt surface. Unlike the polished finish, the honed finish does not present shine, although it does present a uniform appearance and soft quality to the touch. The tone of the surface may be slightly darkened. This type of finish offers many possibilities thanks to its matt texture. In interiors, the honed finish can be used for both, floors and wall coverings. In exteriors, it can be used in facades.
The aged finish gives the stone a beautifully aged appearance through an entirely mechanical erosion process that is developed after decades of research in stone processing area. We are capable of applicating different types of aged finishes. The result is always an exceptional product with an elegant appearance that reflects the random hand of time, perfect for any environment that requires an exclusive, rustic feel.
it is a surface finish that is in the middle between the polished and honed options. It brings some shine and gloss to the natural stone surface, but it is neither as reflective as the polished finish, nor as matte as the honed finish. Satin finish is further achieved by finishing off the honing process using special fine abrasive pads. Usually preferred for floors, stairs, hallways and other areas which have a lot of foot traffic.
The idea of this finish is that; the surface looks less glossy and is easily cleaned and maintained. This is a process similar to the antique finish. It involves honing the stone surface and then subjecting the stone to a diamond polishing which makes the stone denser, smoother and less porous. This is a premium finish used to applications in interior and exterior wall cladding, countertops, table tops, novelty items etc.
A brushed state, stones look their most impressive to many eyes; heavy, rich and timeless with a high-end view. The stone is not slippery, looks a bit worn-out. It is not usually rough to the touch, but rather is a finish of smooth and silky ridges and veins. Unlike polished or honed, a brushed finish typically has no sheen to it. This finish is suited for outdoor use, also applicable to countertops, vanities for a rustic look.
It gives the stone a rough, vitreous and very natural appearance. Results are available in very mild and muted earthy shades. Gentle mounds and depressions alternate by curling the surface, which becomes non-slip. The rough and vitreous texture that the material adopts thanks to this treatment makes it a perfect candidate for outdoor coatings. In exteriors, its application is possible in any designs, be it facades or pavements.
The rough finish gives the surface of the material a slightly grainy, matt appearance and a slip-resistant condition. The application highlights the colour, especially in dark tones. Revealing the natural non-uniformity on the stone surface, the rough finish can be applied to any requirements for a spectacular outlook. It is usually used at outdoors due to its granular character, which makes it a finish with an original, non-slip appearance.
An original finish that gives the stone an aged effect as if it has already been used intensively for many years. It simulates aging and generates soft surfaces and edges. Antiqued stones often are looking somewhat chalky or dusty with muted colours. Their surface is generally rustic, with many tiny pits, fissures, holes.
