The extension project for Rodenkirschen Train Station Halls is an intelligent exercise in elegance and innovation. It provides the existing location with more operation spaces and services, convincingly integrating them into the existing architecture with a captivating and cosmopolitan image by the smart touch of the respected architecture, Juergen Weber Schmidt.
ATF Design Studio GmbH signed this work, where an impressive piece of art transport hub in the western end of the complex becomes one of the main projects of the expansion, with the staircases leading to the upper levels distributed above it. To complete the project, a modern luxury usage area and communal spaces designed to meet the current needs of the station were added, as well as a basement level with an additional service area as all were floored and wall-cladded by the choice for our attractive and peaceful limestone, Tania Nordic Wind.
The delicate appearance of Tania Nordic Wind limestone decks out the floors and walls of the new spaces, giving them the unmistakable elegance that is the unique exclusive signature of our this natural stone. Its soft cream hue adds the counterpoint to the markedly white areas that envelop the operation space in the transport hub in a somewhat cold look, adding warmth and softening the geometry of its shapes.
